I will never leave you
will never forsake you
will never let go of your hand
I’ll walk with you through storm
and through joy and through death
go wherever you crisscross this land
I who formed you and made you
and molded like clay
every character trait that you have
it is I who redeemed
who paid sin’s steepest price
covered your greatest shame with a salve
you are Mine, you are Mine
no one can come between
no one take you from My stronger grasp
though we’re in a hard fight
we’ve an enemy, sure
every day he devours, that asp
I will strengthen you now
I will give you the bread
when you come to Me, asking and famished
I will make you lie down
quiet pastures of green
when spirit’s broken and energy’s vanished
I will be your strong tower
dance with you in the flames
standing tall at the break of each day
My arms, never too short
My legs, never too weak
fight for you in the worst of the fray
when you flee, I’m the One
coming strong to your rescue
follow you there again and again
if you look to the hills
see the forces arrayed
to help you to resist that foul sin
I am with you, do not
oh do not be dismayed
do not fear the dark terrors of night
for My love will not fail
it will never fail you
faith is hope in the absence of sight
I who called you by name
formed your home inside mine
you’re adopted as sure as the dawn
that will come, look it nears
it’s the day that I planned
long ago, to My arms you were drawn
you’ll be free, free at last
free indeed, free from sin
free from every bent wish of your essence
free to sing, free to dance
free from all of this pain
free to worship in My incandescence
these are promises sure
I have given my Word
it is settled, for once and all time
My good work is accomplished
your footing is firm
and your home is right up here with Mine
blessed is she who believes
who believes what I said
that whatever I've said I will do
I have said it is finished
and no matter the whispers
yours the job to believe that it’s true
“Blessed is she who has believed that what the Lord has said to her will be accomplished!” Luke 1:45
This truly spoke to me right where I am. At 88 I see me getting closer to the end on this world and a new beginning in the next where I can do all those things you mention! The process is hard...but the results are immense...It will be worth it all...do sing that! Jeanne K.
He is a Friend that sticks up for us when others don't or won't...I need such a Friend and He has been there for me all these many years...I knew He was there even as a child...when I said to Him...'please stop...I know You're busy...I was quite young...also I thought as probably an eight year old..."how can God know all these people??" Now I know...He is omniscient....Wow!! Jeanne
