praise the God of all comfort
the God of the storm
the God of the crazy
the rough and the norm
praise the God Who’s familiar
with dark and with night
praise the One with the power
to win every fight
and then praise Him again
when His power, restrained
lets the darkness devour
and the night go unchained
praise the God Who knows well
what it’s like walking here
Who stood tall in the rain
and fought off every fear
praise the God Who holds tight
though our steps falter, slow
Who grips hard through the fight
when we fall from a blow
and then praise Him for coming
right up close to our shame
when the darkness has won
and we’re wounded and lame
praise the God with the plan
bearing no neat resemblance
to the maps in our hands
offering no easy dependence
praise the God with the power
choosing which fights to win
Who does not fit the box
we try putting Him in
and then praise the I AM
not the things He has done
not the gifts that we wanted
nor the battles He’s won
praise the God Who shows clear
by His actions and deeds
that He’s worthy of praise
nothing His glory exceeds
praise the God Who needs not
yet has chosen His few
oh thank God that we’re part
of all things coming new
come and praise Him with me
let us lift up our hands
and remember His mercy
thank Him for His good plans
Excellent...can you find someone to put it to music? Praise the Savior, ye who know Him...Who can tell how much we owe Him...gladly let us render to Him all we are and have.....I sang all the verses during my devotion time the other morning.
Well said, Jodi, thank you for sharing.
